Stone House
The Stone House has been working since 1974 to support adult and child survivors of domestic violence through residential and community based programs.
The new Stone House building, designed by The Narrow Gate, will substantially expand the Stone House’s capacity to serve this population. In addition to 32 new units of transitional and permanent supportive housing, Stone House will provide a licensed childcare center for residents and community members, as well as office and meeting space for both group and private support and counseling services, and a number of other amenities.
Located near Egleston Square, the building faces busy Washington Street with public spaces, welcoming visitors into a bright and open reception area with access to a library, computer lab, and a large group meeting room for classes and events. Private and residential spaces are accessed through a separate entry off of Washington Street. The childcare center is located at the rear of the building, facing a private playground with a variety of sensory play options.
